‘An Outstanding School ‘ Ofsted

Welcome from the Headteacher:

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent can make.  At Thorpe Church of England Primary School we offer each child a safe, caring environment where they thrive socially and academically.

When Ofsted last inspected our school they judged us to be Outstanding. The judgement of Outstanding was awarded for each of the four components of the inspection: achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils, and leadership and management.

The National Society also carried out our Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) and the judgement of Outstanding was awarded for each of the four components of the inspection: Distinctive Christian character, Impact of collective worship on the school community, effectiveness of religious education, effectiveness of leadership and management of the school as a church school.

These amazing achievements have been made possible by the dedication of all staff and governors who work tirelessly to support children to achieve their best.

Even though we have been judged as Outstanding we are not complacent. We are aware of what we do well and quickly identify and address any area requiring development so that we can ensure the children make outstanding progress and achieve well.

If you have not visited us recently, please come and see our learning environment at its best during a normal school day.
