Attendance

Attendance at Thorpe

October 2024 95.1%

The staff of Thorpe C of E Primary School are committed, in partnership with the parents, pupils, and the Local Authority (LA), to building a school which serves the community commendably, and of which the community is proud. We expect that pupils attend 100% of the time, unless the absence is authorised by the Headteacher.

Research clearly demonstrates the link between regular attendance and educational progress and attainment. We are committed to encouraging and supporting parents in ensuring their children achieve maximum possible attendance and that any problems that prevent this are identified and acted on promptly.

This policy below aims to show our commitment to meeting our obligations on school attendance, including those set out in Working-together-to-improve-school-attendance  (DfE) published with effect from 19 August 2024.

Please find below, the attendance for each class for the last academic year.

Gates open at 8.35am.  Doors to classrooms open at 8.40am and children should be on time ready for lessons to start at 8.45am.

Our Attendance Policy is attached for your reference.  If you have any queries or suggestions, or if you feel you would benefit from bringing your child to our 7.30am Early Birds Club, please do not hesitate to contact us; telephone 01932 562329 or email admin@thorpe.surrey.sch.uk. School has an after school club until 6pm.

Thank you for supporting our Whole School Attendance.
